The Ikon is for true racers looking for a true lightweight race tire. With 3C Triple Compound Technology, high-volume casing and a fast rolling tread design, the Ikon provide exemplary performance in all riding conditions. As its name suggests, the Ikon represents all that is true in racing.

EXO Protection, proprietary woven material based sidewall, increased abrasion and cut resistance, integrated exterior design.
eXCeption series casing, 120 TPI casing provides a lightweight tyre with exceptional traction, ideal for racing.
3C, High Dispersion Silica centre tread for long life and low rolling resistance, two progressively softer silica-based side compounds for increased grip in corners.
MaxSpeed - New Tech for 2023:
Developed in cooperation with Nino Schurter (winner of more World Championship and World Cup titles than any rider in XC history), the new MaxxSpeed uses a silica filler to improve both speed and wet traction. Testing shows that MaxxSpeed reduces rolling resistance by more than 25%, providing an edge which can shave as much as a minute off a rider's time in a 90-minute race.
This dramatic improvement in performance hasn't been confined to the lab. MaxxSpeed has delivered real-world results for Schurter and other SCOTT-SRAM riders for the past several seasons, aiding multiple World Cup and World Championship wins. Schurter appreciates the advantage MaxxSpeed provides: 'XCO racing is more competitive than ever. The new MaxxSpeed compound rolls faster and grips better than before, giving me an edge over my rivals.'

TUBELESS READY, Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tires provide the benefits of a UST tire without the weight penalty.
The square bead profile of our TR tires is designed to work with the broad range of tubeless rims available today.
Our TR tires use a special construction which requires the use of liquid sealants to make them airtight and to help prevent punctures.

Delivery

  • Standard NZ shipping is free on orders over $200. Orders under $200 are $10.
  • Oversize freight is $100 to the North Island and $175 to the South Island. Smart trainer freight is $25.
  • We ship to addresses throughout New Zealand.
  • Orders are typically processed within 1–2 working days after payment confirmation.
  • Delivery estimates are indicative and may be affected by couriers, weather, rural delivery or circumstances outside our control.
  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details. Additional charges may apply if an order needs to be resent.
  • If your order arrives damaged or incomplete, contact sales@kiwivelo.co.nz as soon as possible with your order details and photos.

Returns

  • Change-of-mind returns can be requested within 14 days of delivery.
  • Items must be unused, unopened and in their original resalable condition with packaging, labels and tags intact.
  • Eligible items may be exchanged. Returns after 14 days may be considered for store credit at our discretion. No change-of-mind returns are accepted after 30 days.
  • Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products will be handled in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on change-of-mind returns. Different rules apply where goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied.
  • Please contact us before returning anything so we can confirm the return and provide instructions.
  • Nothing in our returns policy limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law.

If you are not 100% satisfied, you can return it for a refund within 14 days of purchase within the limitations of our returns policy.

What do you charge for standard shipping an order?

How long will it be before I receive my order?

Most orders received before 3pm are dispatched the same business day. Orders are generally delivered within 1–4 business days, depending on your location.

South Island addresses may take an additional business day to arrive. Please allow additional time for shipments to rural addresses. For more details please view our shipping and delivery page.

Do you do back orders?

Kiwivelo.co.nz does offer back orders. If an item is out of stock we will notify you as soon as possible and ask if you would like a replacement item or like to wait for the stock to arrive. Out of stock orders, will be cancelled unless a replacement item is requested or you are happy to wait for the goods to arrive.

Do you ship to PO boxes addresses?
