Kiwivelo was the brainchild of owners Scott and Vanessa Guyton. The shop came into existence because when they were growing up as young cyclists in NZ they struggled to find bike stores that catered to the needs of competitive cyclist. They wanted to provide customers with a extensive base of knowledge in all fields cycling whether it be Road,Track,MTB, the daily commute or the weekend warrior; So that they can provide the best advice on equipment, apparel and bikes. Now six years down the track in a new location and with a experienced team of Staff who all have first hand knowledge from racing at an elite level.
The KV Team strive day in day out to provide excellent customer service and provide the best bike gear on the market at affordable prices, hence the catch phase... Kiwivelo, where customers and cool bike gear come first!!
Whilst being specialists in the competitive side of cycling, We also cater for the tri market, the entry-level cyclist, mountain bikers and have a great range of Womens specific clothing.

Scott Guyton - Owner/Operator
Scott is a double Olympian (Sydney 2000, Alanta 1996) and Commonwealth Games Representative (Kular Lumpar 1998). Represented NZ just having turned 19 in Alanta. Raced in European Pro Teams from 1997 to 2004. Won NZ's most prestigious tour - Tour of Southland twice 1998 and 2003 and placed in the top three on other occasions. Scott has coached Westlake Boys Highschool cycling team for the last five years, with the team going from strength to strength under his guidance, narrowly missing out on the National title last year and will be the ones to watch this year!

Vanessa Guyton - Owner/Operator
Represented NZ at World Championship level as a junior and senior. Won numerous national titles as a junior (U19) rider. Represented NZ at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Is a qualified Sport Scientist and a Nutritionist having completed a BSc with a double major in Sports and Exercise Science as well as Human Nutrition in 2005. Raced on one of the worlds top woman's cycling teams for five years.

Brenton went to school at Westlake Boys and raced the Secondary School Cycling Season. Brenton is still involved in school cycling and is a keen cyclist himself. Away from cycling, Brenton has a passion for his music, playing Bass Guitar for his band Last Awake and is involved in various singing groups.
